Avian Diagnostic & 9 CFR Regulatory Testing Services

Poultry Assays
AVS Bio provides validated avian diagnostic and regulatory testing services for poultry pathogen surveillance, SPF flock compliance, vaccine QC, and master seed testing. Our testing capabilities are built on the same SPF flock infrastructure that supplies biological materials to vaccine manufacturers worldwide — giving us direct, integrated access to the biological systems we test.
Who we support:
- SPF, transgenic, and other flock operators requiring routine serological screening
- Vaccine manufacturers needing master seed, final product QC, and/or raw material 9 CFR regulatory compliance testing
- Diagnostics developers requiring antigen and antibody validation assays
- Research institutions conducting poultry health surveillance studies
About 9 CFR Testing
Title 9 of the Code of Federal Regulations (9 CFR) governs the licensing and production standards for veterinary biologics in the United States. Products subject to 9 CFR licensing — including poultry vaccines — must be tested against defined pathogen panels to demonstrate freedom from adventitious agents. AVS Bio’s 9 CFR testing services use validated or compendial methods, supporting raw material testing, master seed testing, and the regulatory documentation required for licensed biologics.
Testing Platforms
Our diagnostic and regulatory testing menu includes:
- 9 CFR testing
- PCR — gel-based and real-time
- ELISA — antibody and antigen detection
- Serum plate agglutination tests (SPA)
- Hemagglutination and Hemagglutination Inhibition Assays (HA and HI)
- Serum neutralization tests in SPF eggs (SN)
- Agar gel precipitin tests (AGP/AGID)
- Microneutralization tests (MNT)
- Indirect fluorescent antibody testing (IFA)
- Multiplexed fluorometric immunoassays® (MFIA®)
