We provide our customers with a broad range of products and services to address their development and large-scale manufacturing needs. We supply leading manufacturers with critical bioprocessing inputs, including SPF eggs, antigens, and cell products. In addition, we offer numerous diagnostic testing and manufacturing support services, including virus propagation and isolation, custom cell production, and quality control testing. We also support the development of new therapeutics by providing antibodies such as IgY for use in clinical trials.
Originally founded as SPAFAS (Specific Pathogen Free Avian Supplies), we started as an egg production and testing laboratory in Connecticut

We were acquired by Charles River Laboratories and have since more than doubled our manufacturing capacity and laboratory footprint, cultivated relationships with customers and manufacturing partners around the world, and built new capabilities across diagnostic and bioprocessing applications

After 30 years of operating as a subsidiary of Charles River Laboratories, we reestablished ourselves as an independent company to begin a new chapter of accelerated investment across the Immunology landscape

Our scientific and manufacturing expertise allows us to offer a broad range of products, including primary chicken embryo cells and USDA-licensed FFM and diagnostic products. Our IgY products are produced utilizing our SPF hens and are tested to ensure that they meet the highest quality and purity standards.
