AVS Bio offers a comprehensive portfolio of avian pathogen antigen reagents covering 30+ poultry pathogens, available in liquid and lyophilized formats for most common disease agents. Antigens are used in serology testing, diagnostic assay development, vaccine quality control, and immunological research.

Preparation & Testing

Biological preparations are produced in SPF Premium Plus embryonated eggs, SPF birds, cell cultures, or artificial media, and are available as tissue homogenates, concentrates, tissue culture and allantoic fluid. All reagents are tested for potency, verified for specificity, and are tested on suitable assays, such as agar gel immunodiffusion (AGP/AGID), hemagglutination inhibition (HI), virus neutralization (VN), serum neutralization (SN), microneutralization (MNT) and other standard assay formats.

Storage & Format

Antigens are sold in 1 ml aliquots. Lyophilized antigens are stable during shipment and should be stored at -20°C upon receipt. Liquid antigens (USA only) have product-specific storage requirements — contact Customer Service for guidance. Some products require dry ice for shipping. Reconstituting buffer (30% glycerin) is supplied at no charge with MG and MS whole organism antigen orders.
