Primary Chicken Embryo Cells
We prepare small and bulk production lots of chicken embryo fibroblasts (CEF), chicken embryo kidney cells (CEKC), chicken embryo liver cells (CELC), and chicken embryo dermal cells* (CED). Custom cell preparations are also available. Cells are available in two quality groups: chicken anemia virus (CAV)-negative, and CAV-negative group-specific (GS) antigen-free cells, which are C/O and not resistant to any of the avian leukosis virus subgroups.
Tissue culture media contain ingredients of animal origin that are only sourced from countries documented to have negligible risk of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). Cells are prepared under strict aseptic conditions in areas with restricted access. Batch records exist documenting all steps in the preparation process.
400 million cells or greater per 50ml vial. Store between 2–7°C.
A documentation fee of $225 may be assessed for bench records.
*1 billion cells or greater per 125ml vial. Requires a two-week notice prior to ship date.
