vWF-A1 Domain, Human, Residues 1261-1468, VWD Type 2B, Recombinant
Human Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) is a multimeric glycoprotein, which is involved in binding coaggulation factor VIII and in adhesion of platelets at sites of vascular damage. In this process the platelet receptor glycopreotein 1b-IX-V complex binds to the VWF-A1 domain. The VWF-A1 variant in this product contains Von Willebrand Disease type 2B mutation R1306Q, which induces spontaneous binding of the VWF-A1 domain to platelet receptor GpIb-IX-V complex.

Production platform: This product has been produced in HEK293 cells using the rPEx® recombinant protein production platform.
