TFPI-Alpha-(His)C, human

Info

TFPI-Alpha-(His)C, Human, Recombinant
This protein is a Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitor that regulates the tissue factor (TF)-dependent pathway of blood coagulation. The coagulation process initiates with the formation of a factor VIIa-TF complex, which proteolytically activates additional proteases (factors IX and X) and ultimately leads to the formation of a fibrin clot. TFPI-alpha inhibits the activated factor X and VIIa-TF proteases in an autoregulatory loop. Alternative splicing of the mRNA results codes for TFPI-1-beta, which is a shorter form of the protein and contains a PGI-anchor.

Production platform: This product has been produced in HEK293 cells using the rPEx® recombinant protein production platform.
