Antibody against cytoplasmic asparaginyl-tRNA synthetase, a protein involved in the basic translation machinery taking place in all cells, but also linked to anti-synthetase syndrome where the hallmark is the presence of autoantibodies against a tRNA synthetase. Over evolution, the protein has achieved an additional domain, UNE-N, which is believed to carry out non-canonical functions.
