Mouse anti-human MASP-2

Info

Mouse anti-human MASP-2
Antibody against Mannan-Binding Lectin-Associated Serine Protease 2 (MASP-2). MASP-2 is a key enzyme in the lectin pathway of the complement system. Upon activation by pattern-recognition molecules such as mannose-binding lectin (MBL) or ficolins, MASP-2 cleaves complement components C4 and C2, leading to formation of the C3 convertase and downstream complement activation. MASP-2 plays a crucial role in innate immunity and host defense against pathogens. Dysregulation of MASP-2 activity has been linked to immune deficiencies and inflammatory disorders. Antibodies against MASP-2 are used to study complement activation, immune regulation, and infectious disease mechanisms.
