Fibrinogen, human deiminated and biotinylated (hPAD2)
Info
Deiminated Biotinylated Human Fibrinogen
Fibrinogen is a protein produced by the liver which is involved in blood clot formation. Deimination, or citrullination, is a post-translational modification in which arginine residues are converted to citrulline residues by the enzyme peptidyl arginine deiminase (PAD). Citrullination has been shown to be associated with several diseases, such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and Alzheimer’s disease.
