Antibody against C4BP that can be used in a sandwich ELISA with clone 3B9 (catalog number PODI-0098). C4b-binding protein (C4BP) is a key soluble regulator of the classical and lectin pathways of the complement system. It binds to C4b, promoting its inactivation by factor I and preventing the formation of the C3/C5 convertase complex, thereby controlling excessive complement activation. C4BP also interacts with protein S and participates in the regulation of coagulation and apoptosis. Abnormalities in C4BP levels or function have been linked to autoimmune diseases, infections, and thrombosis.
