Quality Assurance Specialist

At AVS Bio, we are the world’s largest and most trusted producer of Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) eggs and adjacent laboratory products and services for the development and manufacture of biologics. Our history spans 60 years of innovation, growth, and setting the global standards. We are actively looking to add a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

This individual will provide support to all areas of product development and production. This is a high-energy position that requires the ability to organize, prioritize and work with a sense of urgency and positive attitude.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in the investigation and management of customer complaints.
• Assist in the investigation and management of internal and supplier deviations.
• Assist in internal auditing.
• Assist with the QMS and creation/management of documentation.
• Support production.
• Learn and follow established quality assurance processes and protocols.
• Provide support in maintaining test environments.
• Display a willingness to learn and assist in other department activities when needed.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, STEM degrees, or related field.
• 2+ years working in production/manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Understanding of root cause analysis tools and quality management software.
• Exposure to continuous process improvement.
• Familiarity with testing tools.
