We are looking for a new colleague to join our AVS Bio Netherlands team, having offices in Oss and Utrecht. AVS Bio Netherlands is an experienced service provider for antibody discovery and development specialized in generating monoclonal antibodies against diverse and difficult antigens for R&D, diagnostic, and therapeutic applications leveraging proprietary procedures. We are also specialized in manufacturing of recombinant proteins. In addition to generating antibodies, AVS Bio Netherlands offers comprehensive antibody development and optimization procedures for use in the final application.
Your role
As a Financial Manager, you are responsible for the financial administration and reporting the results for both offices in the Netherlands, Oss and Utrecht. The primary location for this role will be at the rapidly growing biopharmaceutical campus Pivot Park in Oss. Part of the activities are centralized and are carried out by the Finance Team in the United States of America, with whom you work closely on a regular basis. In addition, you are a sparring partner for management and colleagues at a strategic and operational level. You are the contact person for authorities such as accountants, banks, external advisors and the tax authorities. You initiate improvement projects and digitization initiatives.
We work with the ERP system ‘Netsuite’. You will be responsible for (process) improvements in this system and integrating processes that we have not yet incorporated into it. You will be an important link in future improvements.
You ensure accurate reporting, annual accounts and month-end closings. Main tasks:
- Preparing monthly reports;
- Pre-discussion of the reports in the global finance team;
- Discussing the monthly results with CSO and General Manager, for both Oss and Utrecht;
- Review monthly project revenues and project results
- Taking care of year-end closing
You take care of the entire financial administration plus the input for the payroll administration. A number of important tasks are:
- Handling accounts receivable
- Taking care of the VAT returns and assistance preparing company CIT tax returns;
- Prepare (dutch) annual accounts;
- Processing the salaries in cooperation with the payroll office;
- Booking journal entries wages and salaries;
- Monitoring changes in insurance and pensions and implementing changes where necessary;
- Support research-related / grant applications (WBSO+European grants);
- Responsible for budgeting activities and financial analysis of results in the Netherlands
You will report directly to the Group CFO in the United States of America and work closely with Management in the Netherlands.

What do you bring?
· At least Bachelor´s Degree, preferably completed in the direction of Business Economics
· Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP (Dutch GAAP)
· At least 5 years of relevant work experience in an international work environment
· You have extensive experience with ERP systems. Experience with Netsuite is a big plus
· You are analytical, communicative and service-oriented
· You have a good command of the Dutch and English language
